Almost 2000m2 of Clear 12mm Marlon FS Hard abrasion resistant flat polycarbonate was used to glaze the windows of the portable ‘Team Bases’ for the 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race.
The Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18 took the participating teams 45,000 nautical miles around the world in 7 months, across four oceans and six continents.
With stops and racing events at 12 host cities including Alicante, Cape Town, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Newport (USA) and Cardiff the Team Bases had to travel around the world and be constructed and inhabited then dismantled and packed up to move onto the next location each time.
