Diageo Ireland (owners of the Guinness brand) developed a concept called Hurling Cubed to bring the sport of hurling to the public in a new, urban environment. 4 courts measuring 10m x 16m x 4m were manufactured from 10mm clear Marlon FS polycarbonate to create the 3-D environment used in a similar way to that of 5-a-side soccer, where players can adapt the game by “bouncing” the ball off the walls of the cube. Marlon FS is virtually unbreakable making it the ideal glazing material for the cubes.
