3mm clear Marcryl FS was used to create this highly intricate model of the Eiffel Tower. Standing at 600mm high, the extruded acrylic sheet was laser cut by Brett Martin’s Approved Partners, eurolaser.

Requirements:

  • Able to be laser cut
  • Premium edge finish
  • Able to be bonded

The detail of the 19th century design, combined with the clarity of the Marcryl FS and the brilliance of the laser cut edge make this model of the Eiffel Tower truly spectacular.

The 36 pieces that made up the Eiffel tower were cut in only 12 minutes. It took staff at Brett Martin considerably longer to assemble it!

Details of the machinery used by eurolaser:

  • Machine: eurolaser XL-1600/400 watt laser source, used laser power 100 watts
  • Table concept: grid plate with acrylic grid
  • Extraction on the cutting head and table extraction
  • Focus lens 3.75 "
  • Speed 50mm / sec.
  • Total time - finished Eiffel Tower: 12:00 min

The assembled Eiffel Tower will be displayed at exhibitions to show the potential of Marcryl FS for the creation of 3D displays.
