Requirements

  • UV protection
  • Vibrant solar controlling tint
  • Strong and durable
  • Impact resistant

One of the most modern and technically advanced in Central and Latin America, the Hospital Clinica Biblica in Costa Rica required a functional product that offered strength, impact resistance and UV protection whilst also meeting the aesthetics for the project. Brett Martin’s Marlon ST multiwall polycarbonate met their requirements perfectly.

Over 1100m2 of blue tinted 16mm Triplewall Marlon ST was installed to create a striking feature out of the new covered walkway leading to the entrance of the hospital.  As well as being an ideal material for rooflights and vertical glazing, Marlon ST is robust and durable and is widely used for canopies and walkways.

Marlon ST has a high performance UV protection layer that protects people by filtering out over 98% of damaging UV radiation. In addition to this the attractive blue tinted option provides controlled light as well as providing a material to make an impressive design statement.
